Candle Care
What kind of wax are the candles made from?
Our candles are 100% natural and are made using only soy wax and natural essential oils. The soy wax we use is free from pesticides and herbicides and genetically modified material. Many candle manufacturers use paraffin wax (sometimes called mineral wax because it sounds nicer) because it's cheap but it isn't very good for you or the planet.
What are your wicks made from?
We use cotton wicks.
Enjoy your candles safely
Please follow a few simple instructions for best results.
+ To ensure an even and smoke-free burn, the wick should be trimmed to a length of 5mm each time before lighting.
+ Candles should never be left burning unattended and discontinue when 10mm of wax remains to prevent the glass from cracking!
+ Place your candle on a heat proof surface.
+ Do not relight a candle containing less than 1cm of wax.
+ Keep candles away from children, pets and curtains.
+ If burning more than one candle, leave at least 50mm gap between each candle.
+ In order to get the most out of your candle, burn it until the majority of the surface of the candle melts. Wax has a ‘memory’ so it will follow the first burn so make sure you allow the majority of the surface to melt. Burning a candle for 2-4 hours is a good amount of time. We recommend burning the candle for no longer than 4 hours at a time.
+ Do not touch a hot candle.
+ Keep your candles away from draughts.
+ Extinguish the flame with a snuffer and straighten the wick if necessary. If the wick is not in the centre of the candle, do not light.
